Since Lost Girl is of the supernatural and paranormal genre, I wonder how many also read books of the same variety?
I have read a few different author's that write books that deal with this sort of background. Ok so they are the romancy ones, but at least they have a good story to them as well as a bit of fun stuff lol.
Christine Warren write a series of books "The Others" that deals with supernatural beings much like Lost Girl. There are werewolves, witches, fairy folk, even demons.
Cheyenne McCray has the "D'Anu Witches" series where there are a group of 'grey' witches battling evil demons with the help of 'light fairy's'.
Marjorie Liu has her "Dirk & Steele" series. A bit darker in tone that most of the paranormal romance I've read, but the novels have good stories to them.
Sherilyn Kenyon's "Dark Hunter" novels are a twist on the myths of vampires and werewolves and uses various cultures pantheon of gods in the stories (like The Morrigan, for instance, is briefly in one novel).

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm currently reading the Outlander series (down to the last book and 1/2!). Its historical science fiction but no supernatural beings. I'm enjoying them, but Diana Gabaldon can get a bit wordy. Each book is now over 1400 pages! Who has time for that? lol

Love supernatural fiction ... obviously haha Thanks for the recommendations on the books!
My library has:
Kelley Armstrong - various books. Each book centers on a different person from a different species, from werewolves, vampires and witches to demons. Lots of great characters and the books are an easy read.
Anne Rice - because she's the Empress of supernatural horror. Vampires, witches, mummy, ghosts and others. Fantastic books. You may have heard of The Interview with a Vampire. She has lots more.
Andrzej Sapkowski - The Last Wish and Blood of Elves. There is a game named The Witcher based on these books. Lots of folklore creatures.

I'm the queen of paranormal romance. I was reading it before it was in! I'm talking Secret Circle and Vampire Diaries in the 80's! A few of my faves J.R. Ward (vamps) Laurann Dohner (all of her series are good!) Virgina Kantra (IF you have an affinity for the sea!) Alyssa Morgan (atlantis and the ocean) Lora Leigh (if you like weres!) Gena Showalter (vamps and others) Angela Knight (If you like king arthur lore) Robin D Owens (if you like alternate words) Nalini Singh (psy, weres and humans) Christine Feehan (didn't like the carpethain series I thought it was too much the same, but her Ghost walker novels are good so are Drake Sisters) Karen Marie Moninn (If you like fay or highlander) Diana Gabaldon (Highlander time travel all time great novels!) Jacqueline Frank (demon world)
Right now my faves are Lora Leigh, Dohner, and I'm reading Amber Scott, we'll see how that goes. If you guys know any good ones please let me know. Let me know if there are any particular sub genre you want. Also you might try getting a subscription to the Romantic Times, I had to stop because I kept buying to many books! Cheers and Happy Reading, Jackie
